The new DYNAFIT Blacklight 88 weighs just 1060 g (165 cm) with a mid-width of 88 mm. The name Blacklight combines the color black, which also represents 100% carbon, and the addition of light for a very lightweight ski with vibrant colors. The Blacklight 88 is DYNAFIT's lightest all-round ski and meets the demands of ambitious, fast ski tourers looking for a lightweight, maneuverable touring ski suitable for any terrain and snow conditions. The Blacklight 88 features a 100% UD carbon upper layer. UD stands for the unidirectional arrangement of the carbon fibers, providing higher tensile strength and load capacity compared to traditional carbon construction while maintaining a lower weight. Additionally, the Blacklight 88 is equipped with a 100% Paulownia wood core, and thanks to its 3D construction, the ski reduces its overall weight by minimizing the swing weight in front of and behind the binding area. This ensures extremely stable riding characteristics despite its lightweight. The rocker construction at the tip and tail, along with the sidecut—unique in the ski touring market—are tailored to the respective ski length. This keeps the effective edge length proportional across all sizes and functions independently of ski length. To ensure the best possible power transfer from the skier to the ski, it is constructed with a full ABS sidewall. Furthermore, the ski's base features a special racing grind, ensuring you are guaranteed to be the fastest on the mountain.
