NMP stands for 'no moving parts'. In application, the TyeTec® NMP blocks are positioned between the thimble and the loop block. The fixed part is spliced or hooked through the central opening; the NMP block is secured against twisting via the milled slots by sewing or with a simple cable tie. The moving part runs between the jaws of the NMP block. The applications are diverse, ranging from use as a snap shackle block at the top of a mainsail or jib to use as a reefing block in the mainsail, as well as cascades for downhauls or backstays. They are also excellent for barberhaulers and can be rigged particularly quickly and easily with the open loop for attachment. TyeTec® aluminum NMP blocks AlMgSi1, specially pre-treated and hard anodized for low friction and excellent surface protection. The blocks are characterized by high working loads and low weight.
