Main sail well protected with a boom cover! When the mainsail is well protected under a boom cover when not in use, it remains functional for longer. UV rays are the biggest enemy for sails. They break down the molecular structure of the plastic chains within the individual fibers. This causes them to lose elasticity, making the sail brittle and fragile. Once the fibers are damaged, they cannot be regenerated. Even with less strain, it can quickly lead to tearing. The profile of the set sail quickly becomes bulging due to the decreasing elasticity, resulting in poorer performance when sailing upwind. Furthermore, oily soot, dirt, and dust easily accumulate on unprotected sails, making the white fabric unsightly in no time. The protective boom cover made of polyacrylic material is breathable, preventing moisture accumulation and mold stains. The material is also extremely weather-resistant. Thanks to the durable zipper on the mast side and buckles on the underside of the boom, the cover can be easily and quickly put on. The fabric is available in traditional blue or white for different boom lengths.
