Compass Router YDWR-02 SeaTalkNG

The router is an intelligent 4-channel NMEA-0183 and SeaTalk 1 multiplexer. It provides data from various marine instruments to a PC or smartphone/tablet. The router has the same features as the YDWN-02 but includes four NMEA ports and one SeaTalk1 input. Typically, multiple devices are interconnected via SeaTalk, so the data only needs to be retrieved once from the SeaTalk network. The router also functions as a translator from SeaTalk1 to NMEA-0183 to WiFi. This allows for the control of a SeaTalk1 autopilot system that is connected to the instruments via NMEA-0183. For the price of a standard multiplexer, you get an absolutely flexible yacht device that can be easily configured through a web browser on a smartphone or tablet. You can adjust the speed of each port or stop data packets from being sent with a single click. The router can even transmit Navtex data and generate NMEA-0183 data packets without a checksum. This technique is called tunnel mode; it can be set separately for each port and for each data provider.
