However, it is important to understand that this is specifically a model designed for ski and high-altitude trekkers, where every gram counts. Thoughtfully designed, the leg loops can be opened via quick-release buckles, making it easy to put on even with crampons. Four flexible gear loops and two attachment points for ice screw holders complete the package. The Choucas excels in the eternal ice, making it especially suitable for purists and as an ultra-light backup harness, rather than for comfort-seeking alpine climbers.
