The Capitan was designed for tough use on big walls and is a high-strength helmet from Black Diamond that offers additional protection on the sides and back while maintaining a low profile and optimal comfort for long days. The Capitan features an ABS shell construction with an optimized fit, available in two colors. It combines EPP foam with an EPS foam shell that meets UIAA requirements for side and back protection. The ventilation openings of the Capitan helmet ensure breathability in hot weather, and the volume-reduced suspension system allows for a precise fit. The integrated headlamp hooks keep the elastic headband securely in place at the back, ensuring that the headlamp stays reliably in position and facilitates progress at night.
