Beal Joker

The Joker - a single, double, and twin rope all in one - is now available with Unicore. This rope will excite both experienced climbers and mountaineers looking for low weight, flexibility, and safety, as well as traditional mountaineers seeking a versatile rope for grade routes, classic or mixed terrain, and snow routes.

The ropes in the Mountain Line have been specifically designed for climbing in challenging weather conditions typically encountered in mountaineering or ice climbing. Mountain Line ropes benefit from two treatments: in addition to the "dry cover" impregnation of the sheath, all strands of the core are individually coated with a water-repellent layer. This combination of both impregnations results in a "golden dry" rope. All ropes in the Mountain Line are "golden dry." Therefore, they have the same properties as the ropes in the Intensive Line but are more water-repellent and have improved rope flow. All ropes in the Mountain Line are Uaa Water Repellent certified and are made more compact and flexible through the use of the Thermo Fluid process.

Caution: When used as a single rope, its small diameter is reserved for specialists. A suitable belay device is required: conventional belay devices often have insufficient braking power, and semi-automatic belay devices may fail.
