Question about Ascaso Steel Duo PID
What kind of tamper and what size do you use for this machine?
A 58.0mm tamper fits the supplied Ascaso sieves best and I use a Motta (8100) tamper for this. The tamper supplied can also be used (use the larger side), but it is a little too small for my taste.
The "56" mentioned in the other answer is certainly too small.
However, I primarily use IMS sieves (in the Ascaso portafilter) with a Motta Competition 58.4mm tamper.
