I know it's a bit mean to ask the question here, but if you were to switch from this combi machine to one that has a separate grinder and brewing unit, which would it be? The warm-up time should not be too long <10min and the portafilter should be a bit bigger.

I have done exactly such upgrade and after my research the best combo for me is Sage Dual Boiler and Niche Zero. It works perfectly. In Delighi I was not particularly happy about its built in grinder.

I have switched from an Illy X1 with just the  brewing unit to De. Longhi and am happy enough with it.The quality depends on the beans used and the optimum grind level.I perceive freshly ground coffee a little taster .
