Personally, I have the impression that yes, I haven't found a more recent model and this one is really top of the range.
To add to my below comment: with this machine you can select between 3 choices only for the milk temperature: "warm", "ideal" and "hot"
I don't know if the machine has internally a PID temperature controller but you cannot control the temperature on your own with this one. Also, I do not know if this is the latest Bambino model that exists.
