Jo, I share Ivebreaker86's impression: The touch buttons (on/off and tare) have worked solidly for years, even with wet fingers. I know of other (much worse functioning) touch buttons...

So even with crumbs on it: You just press the button with your finger and the scale interprets it correctly.

I still wouldn't dip the scale in water or wallow in a bag of muesli ;-)

Everything works tip-top, has been in use with us for years. Also often washed with a wet sponge.
