Sandnes Garn Tynn Peer Gynt

Peer Gynt has been on the market since 1938. Due to its special structure, the yarn is excellent for knitting jumpers. Peer Gynt is as popular today as it was then. In autumn 2022 we launched a thinner version of the exact same yarn with the same good properties. Garments made from Norwegian wool feel light and warm. They become even softer after each wear. Norwegian wool is durable and pilling resistant. It ensures that the garments always look good and keep their shape for a long time. Take care of the environment: wool is breathable and rarely needs to be washed. Instead, we recommend airing the garment well. Garments made of Norwegian wool have a long life. They also retain their beauty over several generations. This means that Norwegian wool contributes to sustainable consumption.

The same fibre is used for Peer Gynt and Tynn Peer Gynt and is produced in different thicknesses - Tynn Peer Gynt is 3-thread twisted and Peer Gynt is 4-thread twisted.

Material: 100% Norwegian wool

Origin of the wool: Norway

• Run length: Approx. 205 metres per 50 grammes

• Recommended needle size: Knitting needle no. 3

• Stitch gauge: 27 stitches = 10 cm

Note: For machine washing, we recommend washing all wool items separately on the wool wash programme to treat them as gently as possible. Spin gently and dry the garment flat, preferably lying on a towel. Never wash hand-knitted garments in a laundry net/wash bag. This creates friction which can cause the piece to felt.
