Sandnes Garn Tynn Peer Gynt

Peer Gynt has been on the market since 1938. Due to its unique structure, the yarn is excellent for knitting sweaters. Peer Gynt is still as popular today as it was back then. In autumn 2022, we launched a thinner version of the exact same yarn with the same great properties. Garments made from Norwegian wool feel light and warm. After each wear, they become even softer. Norwegian wool is durable and resistant to pilling. It ensures that garments always look good and retain their shape for a long time. Be mindful of the environment: wool is breathable and rarely needs washing. Instead, we recommend airing out the garment well. Norwegian wool garments have a long lifespan. They maintain their beauty across generations, meaning that Norwegian wool contributes to sustainable consumption.

The same fiber is used for both Peer Gynt and Tynn Peer Gynt, produced in different thicknesses – Tynn Peer Gynt is 3-ply twisted, while Peer Gynt is 4-ply.

Material: 100% Norwegian wool

Origin of the wool: Norway

• Yardage: Approximately 205 meters per 50 grams

• Recommended needle size: Knitting needle No. 3

• Gauge: 27 stitches = 10 cm

Note: For machine washing, we recommend washing all wool items separately on the wool wash program to treat them as gently as possible. Spin gently and dry the garment flat, preferably lying on a towel. Never wash hand-knitted items in a laundry net/wash bag, as this creates friction that can cause felting.
