Russell Hobbs Retro
We were tired of "pressing" Nespresso capsules. We had tried all capsules without lying but somehow everything is too "sour" or "bitter" or "funny" or "äääh i weiss nit" or "das isch doch nit an richtiga kaffiii" ... Coffee is also something emotional. The scent from childhood, when daddy made the filter coffee in the morning, the grinding of the beans beforehand, that scent that wafts through the house - filter coffee, that's it....
While looking for a filter machine, we came across this model. It looks chic and brews fantastically ... The first hand-ground coffee, finished in this "Göppel" was already better than all the Nespresso cartridges we had consumed for years before...äs träumli! ... we haven't regretted the change for a second, but it just takes a few minutes longer to make coffee....that's the way it should be! Thank you Russel Hobbs. ...
Tips: Grind the beans by hand, not too fine and not too coarse (try it out) ... we grind with the GEFU Lorenzo (also a great piece of equipment, it takes about 60-90 seconds to grind 4 coffees, but you don't break a sweat) ... Filter size 4 from Melitta...
and one more thing - everything (except the machine) is compostable. Huarrra guat!

Do not use it so often, but it works well. Too bad you can not set that the coffee is kept warm longer than 45 min. Otherwise good value for money.
