Thanks to a product test, I have been able to test the Roomba i7 for a month now and I don't want to do without it. Especially the suction power is impressive. My flat is constantly clean and the Roomba i7 also vacuums very well in the corners.
After one or two test runs, I had prepared my flat so far for the small vacuum robot that it could drive on its own. I had to lay sockets and cables in such a way that the hoover couldn't get near them. After the two test runs, the hoover had already mapped my flat and smaller areas where it is not allowed to drive in the future can be marked and excluded in the app. Rooms can be renamed, room dividers can be manually inserted or deleted. In the app, you can then select specific rooms to be cleaned and the vacuum cleaner drives there and cleans on its own. This works surprisingly well.
Since my old flat has particularly high thresholds of over 5 cm, I built mini ramps out of wood for the little helper so that it can drive into all the rooms by itself during the vacuuming. It's a bit noisy for me, so I like to start it while I'm shopping and it can clean my flat in peace while I'm out. I will definitely keep it.

I have had an iRobot 676 for about 2 years. Basically, the 676 fulfilled its mission, but rather chaotically, haphazardly and thus not really efficient. (However, the price/performance ratio is right) The i7 is in a completely different league. The suction power is much better and with much less noise. The i7 easily overcomes even high-pile carpets, where the 676 always got "stuck". The i7's dirt bin has more capacity and can be cleaned more thoroughly than the 676. So, and now comes the real strength of the i7. The device maps the rooms super precisely. This means that the robot vacuum knows where it is at all times and cleans the areas systematically and thus extremely efficiently and quickly. If you sent the 676 "home" via the app, it would search for its docking station for 20-30 minutes in extreme cases. The i7 moves into the "basket" as if on a virtual "string". In order to put the 676 in its place, i.e. to limit its range of action so that it does not fall into the shower tray, for example, quite expensive light barriers had to be placed. Besides the fact that these light barriers are trip hazards, you always have to make sure that the batteries are charged. The i7 can be comfortably used in the app to delimit the effective area on the map it draws. You can even define your own zones, which allows you to send the robot to a specific area. I, for example, have set a special zone in the area around the dining table. The robot now cleans this area super fast after the meal. This "i"-intelligent robot is really cool!

Very satisfied with the product, quieter than a standard hoover, but still too loud to be in the same room.
Great for pet owners
