What kind of coffee do you want to make?
Like most coffee grinders, the very good Smart Grinder is not calibrated. This means that what is good for my espresso may not be right for your grinder.
For an excellent Italian "espresso" I use Kimbo Napoli beans 🫘. I like 15g finely ground in the sieve so that the water runs through in 30-40 seconds. That means with my grinder:
Grind size: 13.6
Grind time: 14.6

The Smart Grinder Pro settings for quantity and grinding degree are not reset when the appliance goes into standby mode or is disconnected from the mains.

I think the more expensive model is the Germany version of the device. Here is my little detective work on it:
The more expensive one has model number SCG820BSS4EEU1. The cheaper one is SCG820BSS4QEU1. So there is a small difference.
If you then search for these two numbers on the Internet, you will find suppliers in Germany for the more expensive one and suppliers in Switzerland for the cheaper one.
This is perhaps somewhat thin evidence....

The differences seem to me to be based only on different inputs, both machines certainly have plastic on them too, not just metal, for example.
Conclusion: I would buy the cheaper one, Galaxus has it in stock, it is (presumably) the Swiss model and otherwise exactly the same mill.
A great part, by the way. I've been grinding with it for two years.
That's exactly how it is, the mill is VERY good and also good value for money.

I have been using this grinder with a PL41 TEM for a year and am very satisfied. The grind can be adjusted finely enough and the dead space is relatively small.
The article does not seem to be available... Unfortunately, I don't know whether it would be compatible with your coffee machine, as this is not specified anywhere. :-(
Brands generally don't specify which other brands happen to be compatible with their machines - they want to sell their own products, not advertise others. Hence "random" compatibility - this is not actively planned.

According to SAGE, these are different country models. The -QEU1 version is the Swiss model with the corresponding plug. The -EEU1 version is the model for other European countries, probably with a Schuko plug.
The difference is the finish of the housing: matt black or matt chrome. I can highly recommend this grinder. You won't find a better grinder for the price.
