With the S7, you can reduce the amount of water with the electronic pump, there are 3 levels. I've never read about cotton pads as an accessory for hoovers. They always have microfibre cloths. However, the wiping function of the S7 is a bit more extreme than, for example, the much cheaper Roborock S6 MaxV, it has no vibra function and just pulls the pad over the floor. I think that shouldn't be so bad. The S6 MaxV also has a much better navigation, because in addition to the laser for accurate maps and positioning, it also uses the 3D object recognition with the image database stored in the robot to avoid objects. Maybe the Roborock S6 MaxV is a better alternative? It is certainly gentler than the S7, which can really scrub the floor with the pad. If there are cotton pads, they will also fit the Roborock S6 MaxV. Depends on the scenario/your flat ☺️. I have a dog and parquet/tiled floors. You can always see the sweat paw prints. With the S7, these are now definitely no longer visible as it cleans them away with flying colours thanks to the vibrations. Whether it's worth it for you to buy it, you have to know for yourself ☺️

The robot hoover then starts cleaning the home and then returns to the docking station. However, you need the app for firmware updates and also to edit the maps or to programme the hoover so that it not only cleans the flat but can also do this every day, for example.

Yes it can, thanks to the laser LIDAR system. It creates a map on the first run, which can then be edited and, if necessary, the rooms can be divided up. Afterwards, you can either have it vacuum everything, or you can have it vacuum only one room, for example. In general, all Roborock hoovers can do this, the ones from Xiaomi or Dreame as well, for best navigation they have this little tower on top where the constantly rotating laser measures the rooms. The robot also knows exactly where it is.

The chairs don't have to be moved - the robot is only 35 cm in diameter and can navigate through them. Even a dining table is no problem for the robot. Since it has a rubber roller, hair should not get caught in it. Models with brushes are a little more susceptible. That's fine. No hoover robot has a parquet detection, not even the Roborock S7, but you can even set the water flow separately for each room in the app, e.g. more water for stone or slab floors and very little or no water at all for parquet floors. You could also define exclusion zones so that it doesn't mop there at all.

However, you must not or should not fill anything into the wiping function, because this can damage the electronic water pump and attack the hoses. You can adjust the intensity. For parquet, I would set it to medium. Basically, Roborock recognises the floors. You can only get ptz rags as microfibre. I wouldn't put any agents in it. It does fine and yes you can download Xiaomi Home or Roborock APP. You can control everything via APP and you will always be informed when the sensors need to be cleaned or when you have to change the best ones. I am very satisfied especially when you compare the suction power with iRobot. No chance for iRobit or other devices.
