We only have step mats on the stairs. The appliance sucks these up perfectly. The appliance has a really good suction power and is therefore certainly well suited for carpets.

Normally, yes. I don't see why you can't use that hoover on a hardwood floor. And I didn't see any mention of that.
No. You do not get an additional hard floor nozzle (as for example with the "Rowenta RO6984 X-Trem Power Cyclonic Animal Care"). The scope of delivery includes: a crevice nozzle, standard nozzle (TriActive nozzle) and an integrated brush.
