This hooks the bowl into the machine. For me, the part doesn't have to win a beauty contest, as it only stands in the gfrüri or in the cupboard anyway.
Yes, according to KitchenAid, it fits all appliances with a folding head. See also here: https://whirlpool-cdn.thron.com/static/NSFEJ1_manicede_C4AVD4.pdf?xseo=&response-content-disposition=inline%3Bfilename%3D%22Bedienungsanleitungen.pdf%22
I purchased the KitchenAid ice cream bowl when I purchased my KitchenAid Artisan 5KSM 150PS and I can't recommend it enough! I have used it consistently since I purchased it circa eight years ago and it is still going strong. My classic homemade ice cream recipe involves making a custard on the stovetop (eggs yolks, milk, cream, sugar and flavouring), cooling the custard and then turning it in the ice cream bowl for 15 minutes to create a "soft serve" ice cream. I often make the ice cream a day ahead and freeze it to make the recipe more solid. I keep the KitchenAid ice cream bowl in my freezer so it is always ready for use. I love that I can determine the ingredients of my ice cream which is particularly helpful when someone has food allergies. Making ice cream is easy enough that my teenage children are now taking over and making their own creations.
The bowl is delivered with the 2 components seen in the picture, namely the beater and the adapter for the motorization. There is no motor. The motorization is provided by the KitchenAid robot.
