Questions about De'Longhi La Specialista Prestigio

I'd love to write about the great coffee, or the old coffee. But unfortunately my 'goddess' can't draw water. I returned the first machine and it's exactly the same with the second. Only with one small difference, the pump at least sounds as it should. The problem, 'no water can be drawn when starting up', remains.... Worst of all, IT IS SUNDAY :(

Will the black stainless steel version also be lowered or how does it differ from the silver version?

Hello, I bought the machine but the pressure indicator never goes up more than two lines and seems that will never reach the optimal zone. Is it just the freshness of the coffee? the tamping and fine grinding? I have tried almost all combinations of fine grinding levels and amount of coffee but the pressure is always very low. Can the machine just be faulty ? thanks a lot

We have had this machine for almost 2 years. Perfect. What I miss is: The display of the number of coffees produced. Where can you read this?

I would be interested in this machine but all the reports/experiences here are NEGATIVE due to water pump defects or something.... Of course that puts me off and I'd rather not buy.... Too bad

Our machine has a problem with descaling. Can no longer cancel it only the white cup goes (rinse). After pressing the rinse (tea) button, everything flashes and instead of returning to the operating mode, the machine remains in the tea, rinse mode. According to the instructions, you can press the OK button for 10 seconds to cancel. Does not work for us 🤷

So maybe it's just me, but there are a lot of things wrong with this machine? Grinding beans: The lowest grind (a 1) is still overly coarse. This is far from fine powder for an espresso. And yes, as described in the instructions, I only ever lowered the grind level by one per grinding process. That's where the next problem comes in. Adjusting the grind: The grinder must be running so that you can only change one stage at a time. Who thought of that? And you can't see anywhere which level you are currently at. Coffee powder quantity: Even on the lowest setting, far too much powder comes out for the small sieve. With the large sieve, it just about opens up on the lowest setting. So the conclusion to the grinder is totally unusable. The only good thing is the integrated tamper, but due to the above-mentioned situation, it can't get anything more out. Brewing coffee: Because you get such a poor quality of coffee powder, you either can't even get the plunger in because there is too much powder. Or it builds up practically no pressure. And you can't use the sieve anyway, as already mentioned above because of the quantity. Is there anything else that can be done? I doubt it, as long as the mill cannot grind finely and the quantity cannot be adjusted cleanly, there is nothing more that can be done from my point of view. Or is it just me who has these problems with the machine?

I am actually very satisfied with the machine. Recently, however, I have had something to complain about. The portafilter plunger keeps slipping out of the holder during the brewing process - the portafilter plunger slowly loosens towards the left, although it actually locks firmly into place after the tampering process. The result is a dirty kitchen and smashed coffee utensils. Does anyone have the same problem? The coffee machine has already been sent in and came back with the same problem. I too have the same problems, have already sent my machine in once, have also made a video call with a DeLonghi employee, however it still does not work.
