The espresso puck screen is placed on top of the coffee cake pressed down with the tamper, ensuring an even flow of water. The channeling effect is reduced, leading to a uniform extraction of all the coffee grounds. This allows all the aromatic compounds from the coffee to be dissolved.

Another advantage is that the brew head remains clean and tidy due to minimal contact with the coffee grounds. The coffee cake becomes more compact and can be ejected in one piece without creating a mess.

This puck screen fits perfectly on 58 mm portafilters. Through repeated testing, MHW 3Bomber has determined that 58.5 mm is the ideal size. It fits precisely in 58 mm portafilters and reduces coffee ground waste.

The screen has a thickness of just 0.2 mm, making it ultra-thin, so the amount of coffee grounds does not need to be reduced. The entire screen is made of stainless steel (SUS304), making it very robust and durable. Additionally, it is coated in black titanium. Not suitable for dishwasher use.
