The aroma valve ensures full flavor and optimal coffee temperature (brewing temperature: 95 °C), even with small amounts. The valve allows water to enter the filter only when it is hot enough; otherwise, it returns to the water tank. This guarantees that even when preparing small cup sizes, the coffee grounds are only in contact with optimally heated water from the start. All the valuable aromatic substances of the coffee are fully released – for complete coffee enjoyment and optimal drinking temperature from the first to the last cup.
The Melitta Single 5 is practical and user-friendly: The swivel filter allows for easy filling of ground coffee. The external water level indicator makes it simple to read the water level, and the illuminated on/off switch adds extra convenience. No drips occur when interrupting the brewing process, thanks to the practical integrated drip-stop function in the filter insert. Excess cable can be neatly stored in a discreet cable compartment. Cleaning the removable filter insert, glass carafe, and glass carafe lid is easy and can be done in the dishwasher. The exterior of the housing can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth.
