For the groundbreaking Shun Premier Tim Mälzer series, KAI developed additional knives made from 32 layers of corrosion-resistant Damascus steel. This is refined with a hand-hammered surface known as Tsuchime in Japan, combining timeless aesthetics with ultimate sharpness. The blades feature a solid core made of VG MAX steel with a hardness of 61±1 HRC.
