The Essence drinking glass series was designed by Alfredo Häberli for iittala in 2001. The Essence drinking glasses were created with a simple fundamental idea: Alfredo Häberli aimed to serve fine wines in suitable, correct glasses with as few different types of glasses as possible. The Essence glasses from iittala are an excellent example of well-thought-out Scandinavian design.
When placed side by side, they convey a wonderful sense of balance. This is due to the fact that the stem and base of all the glasses are the same size, and the bowls have similar proportions. The glasses are easy to hold and fit comfortably in the hand.
