Product details

Global combines good design with the expertise of Japanese knife craftsmanship. Global knives are extremely sharp, lightweight, and perfectly balanced. Material: The blade is made from molybdenum-vanadium steel, which is hardened to 56 - 58° Rockwell C. The blades are very sharp. The handle is made from two stainless steel shells, which are filled with sand for perfect balance. This balanced design ensures safe handling and control. The knife is neither blade-heavy nor handle-heavy. Design: Created in 1985 by Professor Komin Yamada. Global is part of the collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, MOMA.
