Georg Jensen - Bernadotte Thermos Flask 1 Liter

Bernadotte – The design dates back to 1938, but the practical features of the thermos flask are very modern. Originally designed as a jug, the Bernadotte thermos flask retains its original shape and becomes a unique combination of old and new. Prince Sigvard Bernadotte, son of Swedish King Gustav VI Adolf, created many silverware pieces in his lifetime, infusing each of his designs with a Scandinavian nuance.

The original Bernadotte jug dates from 1938. At that time, functionalism was an important movement in the design world. Bernadotte maintained his aesthetic throughout his life and continually developed new ideas to combine beauty with utility. The thermos flask was his last design. The thermos flask holds 1 liter and keeps beverages hot for at least 6 hours.

As of autumn 2020, the iconic thermos flask features a modified closure.
