How it works

The French press system is the easiest way to make delicious and aromatic coffee.

• Place the DOURO on a flat surface, hold the handle firmly, and pull the plunger up and out of the carafe.

• Add one heaping teaspoon or one Bodum spoon of coarsely ground coffee per cup or 120 ml of water.

• Pour hot water (about 92-96 ºC) into the carafe, leaving at least 2.5 cm of space at the top, and stir the coffee with a plastic or wooden spoon.

• Place the plunger on the carafe and turn the lid so that the spout is closed to retain heat.

• Let steep for four minutes and then slowly push down on the plunger. Turn the lid to open the spout and pour yourself a delicious cup of coffee.

Use and care

Rinse with warm soapy water before first use and after each subsequent use.
