This small bowl is as cute as it is practical. Once you see it, you’ll want it! Its small volume is perfect for cookies, dried fruits, sauces, or dips. After an initial low-temperature firing of the clay, reactive glazes are applied to the stoneware, giving it a shiny appearance and color gradations. The ceramic pieces are dipped in water after leaving the oven, creating a temperature shock that results in the desired crackle effect.

The inspiration for the MAGMA collection comes from the heart of the volcanic crater of Mount Fuji in Japan. In the COBALT variant, the vein network outlines the crater and reflects the thermal vacuum created by the cooking technique, similar to how magma forms after a volcano melts.
