100 years of Alessi - Values Collection - limited edition. The corkscrew designed by Ettore Sottsass is effective and exciting. It is made from certified FSC wood (Forest Stewardship Council) from ecologically guaranteed sources. The coating is water-based, completely solvent-free, environmentally sustainable, and non-toxic. Ettore Sottsass, born in Innsbruck in 1917, is internationally known as one of the pioneers of the renewal of design and architecture. Thanks to him, the rigid functionalism of the pre- and post-World War II years was overcome. In the language of the great and influential master of Italian design, potential energy and vitality are expressed in design and color, contrasting with any form of intellectualism and rigidity. He passed away in 2007.
