Hello everyone, I’d like to upgrade my current monoblock air conditioning unit (ecofort ecoQ CoolAir 9) to a dual-hose system. My main question is whether I need to access both inlets at the rear to do this (the manufacturer’s instructions do not distinguish between them; in fact, only the upper one is described at all: https://manuals.ecofort.ch/de...). (Is one of these inlets specifically for the condenser, or does the unit simply have two combined inlets? Here’s a photo of the rear view without the filters: https://imgur.com/a... Does anyone in the community know whether it is permitted to use a mobile air conditioner in a rented flat if the air conditioning compressor is on the window sill? Assuming I'm not disturbing any neighbours, is it basically allowed, or is this a problem because it's visible from the outside?

It's summer again, so it's time to start up the portable air conditioner and every time I ask myself why there are still no two-hose air conditioners. It's 2022, energy efficiency is a bigger issue than ever everywhere but still (with the exception of one very expensive portable split) only extremely inefficient single hose units are sold. Why is that?

I am looking for a mobile monobloc air conditioner that has 2 hoses. unfortunately they are hard to find although they are proven to be better than the ones with only one hose. Does anyone know of such a unit?

Are there any good two-hose systems anywhere? They do not generate negative pressure in the flat and do not suck in warm air from outside.

Mobile split air conditioners are more effective than mobile air conditioners with a thick exhaust hose. It would be good if Galaxus also had these in its range. Of course, a permanently installed air conditioner is more effective and better. But like many people, I live in a rented flat where that is not possible. 8.07.2017 4.30 pm the outside temperature is 33C in the shade. In the flat, all the shutters are down and all the doors of the rooms are open. The outdoor unit of the mobile split air conditioner is on the balcony. The indoor unit (which makes an incredible amount of noise) is in the living room. I have a temperature below 23C in all rooms. When we are in the living room, the air conditioner is turned off because the noise is unbearable. I have a Sonnenkönig Fresco 153E which is unfortunately no longer manufactured. It has an EEI (Energy Efficiency Index) of 3.43 (cooling capacity 4980, power consumption 1450). The EEI is calculated by dividing the cooling capacity in watts by the power consumption in watts. All mobile air conditioners with a thick exhaust hose usually do not exceed an EEI of 2.8, which is why it would be good if Galaxus also offered mobile split air conditioners. Of course, these are much more expensive than mobile air conditioners. However, the customer of Galaxus should have the possibility to compare and decide how much he wants to spend for an air conditioner. I have had my mobile split air conditioner for 3 years and I paid CHF 1900. Yes, it's a lot of money for me too, but I don't regret it. Without air conditioning it was up to 30C in the flat now it is a temperature of below 23C.

I am looking for an inexpensive air conditioner without an exhaust hose for a room of approx. 20m2. Same system as tumbler without exhaust air hose, i.e. with water tank?

Dear Galaxus/Digitec Community I asked you a few years ago about an air conditioner that doesn't have a container for condensation water or that recycles it. Back then, you made a brilliant recommendation in favour of De'Longhi. Now I'm slowly getting ready to buy 2x appliances again. Why am I unlikely to buy a De'Longhi appliance? I love my air conditioner, but my problem is that it doesn't have an app or Wi-Fi, just a Bluetooth LE remote control, which I love and also kind of hate. I would love to find an air conditioner where I have a solid app that doesn't cut out every few seconds. The condensation is recycled and it doesn't need a tank. Bonus points if the home assistant works too!!! I appreciate any good advice!!! Many thanks in advance!!! Chris

Choosing an efficient air conditioner on Digitec can be complicated. # Types of air conditioners There are two main types of air conditioner: 1. monobloc: without an outdoor unit, including mobile air conditioners with one or two pipes. 2. split: with an outdoor unit. A distinction is made between monosplits (one outdoor unit) and multisplits (one outdoor unit and several indoor units). SEER = Total cooling BTUs / Total watt-hours consumed during the season. - EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) EER = Cooling BTUs / Watts consumed. These indicators make it easier to assess and compare the efficiency of air conditioners. # Digitec Limitation Unfortunately, Digitec does not offer filters based on these values, which makes it difficult to find the most efficient air conditioner. In summary, to choose an efficient air conditioner on Digitec, it is essential to have a good understanding of the types of air conditioner and their performance, and to look for the SEER and EER indicators in the product descriptions. I expect Digitec to do its utmost to make it possible to find the most energy-efficient appliances. Especially for air conditioners!

I can't find a double-hose portable air conditioner. The single pipes are terribly inefficient so I don't want one. Do you know if they will be available in the future?

Are there air coolers and air conditioners that can be connected to Google Home? Also, which manufacturers are recommended if you want a high-quality device that doesn't just look and feel like Chinese plastic?

We live in a rented flat of around 100m2 (ceiling height 2.3m) How do we cool it effectively? We already have a monobloc air conditioning system for approx. 50m2, but this is not enough for anywhere, should we get a second one? or what is the best way to do this? Split or fixed installation unfortunately not possible

I have seen that Digitec/Galaxus has various products from the Midea brand in its range. Unfortunately, one of the currently best rated air conditioners is missing. The Midea Duo with double-hose system is much more efficient than conventional single-hose devices, as it does not generate negative pressure and thus greatly reduces the flow of warm outside air. Hello everyone I'm looking for a small air conditioning unit for a 20 square metre room. The room only has a tilt window, so the hose would probably have to be quite thin. Is there such a thing? It would be good if the KA itself wasn't too big either. Merci and regards

I need an air conditioner with at least 12000 BTU/h. Most air conditioners have a 12-15cm diameter hose. However, my existing window duct has a diameter of 10cm. Are there any adapters? Or which unit would you recommend? Thank you

I wanted to buy an ecofort 16+ appliance with 16,000 BTUs, but when I got to the checkout I realised that the appliance you're selling only has 12,000 BTUs. Is this a deception?

Are there any good two-line systems anywhere? I have a model with one hose for the exhaust air. This is very inefficient because warm air flows back into the room from outside. This cannot be avoided. Two-pipe systems were better, where one pipe conducts waste heat to the outside and one pipe uses lift from outside directly for cooling. Then the windows can also be sealed sensibly.

I have a Rotel mobile air conditioner with 9,000 BTU/H at home. The air conditioner should be able to cool areas of up to 50m2. My flat is only 27m2. My goal was to cool down the whole flat. My room is cooled down to 17 °C very quickly, but the rest of the flat stays the same. Would a stronger air conditioner be able to cool the whole flat (with e.g. 12'000 BTU/H)? Or can mobile air conditioners simply not do it better? Need some expert advice.

Can you not specify the SI unit for the cooling capacity (W or kW)? Nobody really knows BTU...

I'm looking for an air conditioning unit for my cellar. It's well insulated and therefore has a constant temperature, but it's not buried, so the temperature remains too high (20 degrees). So I'm looking for an air conditioner that - Doesn't need to be powerful (5 square metre room, well insulated and no windows) - Can be set below 18 degrees (ideally 12 to 15 degrees) - Switches off automatically when the desired temperature is reached (I don't want a fan that runs 24 hours a day, but only when the temperature is too high) - Fixed or mobile, noisy or not, I don't care

Does Galaxus/Digitec offer mobile air conditioners with air purifiers?

Dear Digitec Community, I currently have a mobile air conditioner that stores condensation in a tank. This tank gets full every 4 to 5 hours and the unit switches off completely. This is extremely annoying, especially when you want to sleep in cool air. I have to carry the 30 kg thing into the bathroom every time and let the water run out via a valve. That's really not a good long-term option for me. Now I would like to ask you if you can recommend devices here on Digitec that don't have to store condensation. I would like something that simply drains the condensation with the air via an exhaust hose, if that's the case. I did a little research online and there are indeed such devices, especially at DeLonghi, but I also checked some systems and the instructions still indicated a tank. I appreciate any good advice!
