    Service of portafilter machines

As is generally known, a machine should be serviced every 2-3 years. This should not only be limited to decalcification (which you can also do yourself), but should also include the replacement of wear parts and a leak test. How do you do this when you buy a machine from Digitec? Does Digitec have a service or do I have to go to a specialist dealer? Will they accept my machine at all if I didn't buy it from them?

La Marzocco - Linea Mini V2

I would love to order this machine from Galaxus, why is that not possible? Various dealers in Switzerland already offer this model, and it would be even better if Galaxus had it. La Marzocco portafilters are the undisputed representatives of high-end espresso machines. In terms of design and quality, La Marzocco has been setting standards for decades and has been producing the machines by hand in Florence ever since. A classic with modern technology, a true dream, isn't it ;) The community would certainly love to have this machine in the range!

Screen carrier machine with consistent quality, simple "programming" and moderate price...?

Hello, I started out with the Solis Barista Perfetta Plus and the Sage Smart Grinder Pro. Now the Solis has been discontinued. I'll probably get another one this time. I want consistently good quality without too much effort (who doesn't?). Don't get me wrong, tuning is fun, but as a rule good coffee should be quick and easy. My wife, who has no experience and no great interest, should also be able to offer guests decent coffee. My machine combination was good in this respect, as everything could be (pre-)set (grinding time, degree, extraction quantity) and the Solis could be easily "monitored" via the pressure display. What I didn't like about the Solis was the heat-up time for frothing milk and it is generally difficult to get a really good espresso with it, as channelling is pre-programmed due to the brewing head design. It was also difficult to make good milk foam suitable for late art. So what do you recommend? I don't realise why many machines don't have a pressure indicator. Do I find it practical, or am I doing something wrong by paying attention to it anyway? In principle, 9 bar should automatically lead to the right extraction time (and good espresso) with the correct extraction quantity. The new one may cost more, but the prices of portafilters tend to explode. For me, the ideal would be 500 CHF or less, the pain threshold is 1000CHF. I think my profile is very typical, but it's still not easy for me to identify the right machine.

    Vs Bialetti

Hello Community, I drink a lot of coffee and always make my coffee at home with a Bialetti. I have the 12 espresso size and drink two cups (8 espressos) before leaving the house and the rest in the insulated cup on the way to work. I wanted to buy a portafilter, but now I remembered. Can a portafilter even make 12 espressos at once? I mean, you only ever see child-sized cups with 10 drops of coffee in them. I don't want to have to "top up" 2-3 times. Are there "large" portafilters? Merci

    Stone Espresso Portafilter

Hello everyone, I am interested in the Stone espresso portafilter. Does anyone have any experience with the temperature consistency of the coffee? In other words, how temperature-stable are the first and subsequent brews? Thank you and greetings

    Small portafilter

Ciao together I am looking for a small (preferably) narrow portafilter machine, as I have a rather small kitchen. I will use the machine mainly for espresso or similar, as I also have a Nespresso machine for drinks with milk, etc. I'm not sure yet whether I want a vintage hand grinder or an electric grinder. Regarding the grinder, I'm not sure yet if I should go for a vintage hand grinder, an electric grinder or an internal solution. Thanks for your tips :)

    Coffee cup portafilter

Hello! We want to move away from the capsule machine at home and I would like a portafilter. But they all seem to be geared towards espresso. My choice fell on the SMEG machine and the matching grinder. But unfortunately, only a small cup fits underneath and the portions are for espresso. Which machine can you recommend for normal-sized cups of coffee? I would also like to stay in the lower three-digit range (-450 CHF). Thank you!

    Private filter machine

Hello all So far I have had a fully automatic machine which is slowly giving up the ghost. Repairing it is one possibility. An alternative would be to change to a portafilter machine so that I can finally enjoy "real" espressos :-) I only drink espresso. I usually only foam milk for visitors. What do you recommend? I know that two-circuit machines with PID would be good, but aren't they incredibly power-hungry (Cat. D)? Thanks for your support!

Possible inclusion of Rocket Espresso products at Galaxus

Galaxus is always expanding its range of portafilter machines. With Bezzera, ECM, Lelit, etc., some well-known manufacturers are already represented. I therefore wanted to ask if you could also include products from Rocket Espresso (https://rocket-espresso.com/index.html) in the range. Rocket makes great machines. The Rocket Appartemento in particular could be interesting for the shop, as it is very compact for a two-circuit machine. https://rocket-espresso.com/appartamen... What do you think?

Hello, we would like to buy a portafilter machine in the office, does anyone have one of these machines in the office? We have 10 people in the office, 30 coffees per day on average. Thanks
