So where can you get a working power supply now? The manufacturer no longer has one. Does anyone know what the connection is?

Digitec or the manufacturer should be held responsible here. It can't be that you buy a defective product and nobody can repair it... Then you would (unfortunately) have to take it out of the catalogue.
