Hello community I can't find the info anywhere, but what is the maximum thickness of a door before you need a tunnel widener? We want to fit this in a 7cm thick door, is that still possible? Are there any other differences between the two Connect models besides the size? Many thanks and greetings

Helpful answer

On the Sureflap website you can download instructions, page 57 (installation in walls) there are details about the thickness.
If I understand it correctly, an extension is needed for thicknesses of 67mm and more 🤔

And because of the size, here is a comparison table:

I don't understand some of the differences or don't think they are important 😉 (cat flap connect and pet flap connect).
But what would be a negative point for me with the pet flap is the fact that selective free access is not possible.
I don't normally use this (all cats are allowed in/out). But I have also used it when one cat had to go to the vet and was therefore not allowed out. That way I could block the door just for her.

In terms of size, I have normal house cats weighing 5-6kg (currently with winter fat) and they get through without any problems. But the cats shouldn't be much bigger, they don't have much space to spare when they go through ;)
