Litter Kwitter Cat WC Training
Does that work well? Or only on TV? Is my one-year-old cat already too old?
Yes, it works. I taught both my cats to use the toilet when they were 1 year old, now 8 years old. It takes a lot of patience and not threatening or using force. Rather cat biscuits.
Success comes when the cats reach the first stage: The cat uses the Litter Kwitter with all inserts on the toilet. Then you can switch to wooden litter for small animals. You have to dispose of the dirty litter immediately, but it is much cheaper, easier to transport and easier to dispose of than cat litter. There's no more stink in the flat.
Hello Since the sand still has to be on it at the beginning, I had the biggest sand catastrophe in the bathroom at that time and until the cats really started to hit the hole, it required daily, multiple cleaning and patience. My cats did it, but then suddenly rebelled and peed somewhere else, and then I got fed up. It does work, you just need a lot of patience and nerves and maybe cats that aren't like mine. Nevertheless, it looks like some users are proving that it works. Therefore, just give it a try. Good luck!
Hello, I can't tell you about my own experience as both my cats are outdoor cats and don't use the litter tray or my toilet. According to various forum entries, the training set seems to work well. Of course, every animal has its own character and you may need a little more or less patience. However, the fact that your cat is 1 year old should not be a problem.
