Cat flaps + Nets

    Cat flaps + Nets

Cats are freedom-loving animals and like to go on a journey of discovery on their own. With a cat flap or a cat door you give your cat the opportunity to leave the house or apartment independently and to enter again at any time. The flap can be installed in windows, walls or doors and can usually swing in two directions, allowing your cat to enter and leave. As another type of access you will also find cat stairs, which allow your cat to easily reach the balcony window or the basement exit.
To protect your cat from the dangers of bottom-hung windows and balconies, we recommend that you install a protective grille on the bottom-hung windows and a cat net on the balcony. You can also find such grilles and nets in our shop.

    Types of cat flaps
In our assortment you have the choice between electronic and manual cat flaps. The manual one is a simple flap that can be swung in two directions. The electronic flap uses a chip reader to detect your pet's chip and is powered by batteries or a power supply. If your cat is not chiped, a collar tag can be programmed to do so. There are electronic cat flaps that allow you to register up to 15 pets. The advantage of an electronic flap is that only the registered animals and not strangers can enter your apartment or house. It is also possible to set up an entry or exit barrier to lock the door at certain times. With the conventional cat door, foreign animals can enter your four walls because you do not have controlled access, as with the electronic door.
In addition to the different types of function, there are also larger doors for larger animals, such as dogs. These are accordingly called dog flap or also dog door.

    Installation
You can install your cat flap on different doors, windows or walls. Normally it should be installed 15 cm above the floor. It is best to have the flap installed by a professional to avoid possible damage.
