Orijen provides your cat with biologically appropriate food containing 85% animal proteins and 15% vegetables, fruits, and plants. The recipes are made without grains, potatoes, or plant proteins. Cats are hunters, just like their wild cousins. Their teeth, jaws, and digestive systems are perfectly adapted to a diet rich in fresh meat and a variety of meats. For this reason, cats require biologically appropriate food with plenty of animal protein.

Orijen offers your cat 85% meat or fish ingredients. About two-thirds of this is processed fresh, while only one-third has been gently dried beforehand. The animal ingredients follow the whole prey principle: they include fresh meat, organs, and cartilage, providing almost every nutrient your cat needs in a completely natural way.

All Orijen recipes contain 15% low-glycemic fruits and vegetables to prevent your cat's blood sugar levels from rising too sharply. For this reason, ingredients like grains, potatoes, or tapioca are consistently avoided.
