The unique Lyra Power clumping silica crystals consist of 100% silica gel, oxygen, and water. Silica gel is made from quartz sand and is a chemically and biologically inactive substance. This cat litter is not harmful to your cat, even if ingested. Each time your cat uses the litter tray, the wetness is absorbed by the individual multi-porous grains within seconds. The silicate remains dry, preventing the formation of bacteria.
