Since only a small part of the nutrients is covered by a pure meat feed, there is often a lack of a need-based supplementation with minerals, vitamins, trace elements and essential fatty acids. The correct selection of dietary fibres, which are necessary for a regular digestion, as well as of raw materials with important secondary plant active substances (polyphenols, carotenoids, bioflavionides, tannins and bitter substances) is also difficult for many dog owners.
