What's the input voltage for these? the technical data sheet say 220-240. But then they are advertised for being compatible with most transformers? What's going on here? if 220-240, there there is no need for *compatible* transformer. if 12V why does the technical data sheet say 220-240?
Definitely 12V. Transformer is therefore absolutely necessary! Gu5.3 will hardly be available for ~230V...
In my view, however, it only makes sense to pay such a high price for the lamp if the transformer cannot be "removed" and the sockets can be replaced directly with Gu10 (change to ~230V).
However, the lamps are absolutely ok for use.
I have replaced all the former halogen lamps in my house installation with these. I can therefore confirm that the input voltage is 12V. You can see this clearly on the HUE website in the technical data sheet. This can be found here: https://www.philips-hue.com/de-ch....
