If I want to wake myself up with the bulb and set a time, does the wifi have to be on all night or does the bulb save the data and then work without wifi?

Hi. I have tested it. It doesn't work without active Wi-Fi at the moment of switching.
I have set the timer and switched off the wifi. It does not work. Likewise, you can't control the bulbs or switches with the app when the wifi is off. I suspect that the control is done from the app and the impulse then goes via the Wi-Fi.
I think the suggestion from the customer "Hsuetterlin" is very good. If you can also control the WLAN (which is possible with most of them, ask your provider how to do this), I would program the WLAN at least 5 minutes before the alarm time. This gives the network enough time to set up.
Otherwise, a very good thing. We have 2 bulbs and 5 swiches in operation as well as the button. Great thing and saves electricity.

The bulb is integrated into the network and receives an IP. I think without Wi-Fi the bulb will not turn on. If the Wi-Fi is switched off during the night, I would simply reactivate the Wi-Fi operating time a few minutes before the wake-up time and the bulb should do its wake-up duty. In my experience, nothing works without a network, so a power failure not only means that the bulb can't burn, but also that it won't be switched on at all. Otherwise, the bulb is very reliable, as are the other articles from myStrom! I am satisfied with it.
