I have 1x base and 2x extensions in use without problems.
According to the manufacturer, up to 5 lamps can be connected to one power supply unit. According to reports from the internet, however, a maximum of 4 lamps should be used because the brightness of 5 lamps can decrease depending on the scene/colour.
