How long does a battery last if you leave the strip on all the time? I have heard that battery-operated LED strips are real battery guzzlers. I'm making a mural that will probably be switched on for about 1 hour a day (no power supply nearby) and I'm not sure whether a 'normal' Christmas chain wouldn't be better (although less attractive because the distance between the lights is 10cm)?
Had to replace the batteries after approx. 1 month. The LED strip is in our bathroom and only switches on at night when our children have to go to the bathroom (max. 15 seconds). So YES it needs rather a lot of battery
The light is relatively bright. In my case, the batteries only lasted about 2 weeks.
I then connected a power bank, which worked well, but the power bank went into sleep mode relatively soon and the light was no longer active.
I don't know whether there are power banks that don't do this. And how long they last if they are constantly switched on.
I also bought the lights for a mural. The batteries last for about two evenings, i.e. about 8 hours. I have now ordered rechargeable batteries from a low-cost supplier.
