Hello all This might be a stupid question :) I would like to install the lamp in my office. Then I would like to use all the Hue functions (dimming etc.) via smartphone. But I would also like to be able to start the lamp simply by light switch, as is usual in Switzerland. Does this work in the standard?
A bridge is needed to control the Hue! As far as I know, this is not included with the lamp (Philips Hue Bridge.). There are also sets with several lamps.
The ceiling lamp should behave normally, like the bulbs. If the lamp is switched off at the normal switch, it no longer runs and cannot be started via the app (the power is off). When the switch is pressed again, the lamp starts again. It can be configured in the app in which state the lamp starts. In addition, there are Hue switches that can be placed next to the normal wall switches, so that the lamp can be switched off at the switch Philips Hue Wireless Dimmer Switch or Philips Hue Tap Switch.
