Either I'm stupid or my pendulum suspension is defective.

As described on page 5, I first loosened the strain relief and then loosened the "screws" on the 3 cable suspensions. No matter whether I lift the lamp or try to pull it up by the wires, nothing happens. Any ideas?

Answer

After some more trial and error, I managed to get it right, pushed the screw in and took the rope completely out. Then I bent it a bit / made it softer and it worked :)
