Question about Philips Hue Fair Base

No there is a base plate to be fixed to the ceiling the hook will not allow for proper fixing.

Then the lamp is fixed with a U-shaped metal bracket which has a double slot for the screws. So first you fix the piece to the ceiling and then you apply the lamp cover (like a lid) with side screws. The whole thing is quite heavy, so I didn't use the basic hook, but installed 2 extra screws and kept the basic hook as a safety device in case the whole thing broke.... to this day it is in place and it is a very appreciable lamp, as much in its luminous efficiency as in its purified style.
