Violan square seat cushion. For the first time, Metz Textil und Design breaks with its own tradition – but the company from Aschau am Inn does so for good reason and with a clear green conscience: Instead of using genuine wool felt, Metz Textil und Design opts for "Violan," a purely plant-based felt developed over years of meticulous work. The material feels just as high-quality as soft Merino wool felt, but is made from plant residues and wood fibers. As a seat pad, the felt is sewn in two layers with decorative stitching, allowing the cushion to be used on both sides. Equipped with a padded inner lining, the cushion has a good grip but can only be hand washed at 30 °C. In its square shape, this remarkable seat cushion adapts to many benches, chairs, and stools.
