This is correct and also bothered me at first. However, once the lamp is fitted and the light is on, the lettering is no longer noticeable as it is in the shade. Even when switched off, it is not noticeable because the "base" casts a shadow either way, as can be seen in the picture. We have 4 of these lamps hanging in our hallway and I would buy them again, except that the cable storage space for installation is small and requires a little manual dexterity :)

The intensity is not variable for this product depending on the brand.

Hello Judith The lamp is dimmable! But for this you need dimmable light sources and a dimming regulator! Our electrician installed the lamp for us 2 years ago and it works wonderfully ☺️
