What is the difference between this lamp and the expensive one? Can both be operated via mobile phone/Siri or the "Home App"? Only Bluetooth difference? Does that also work with the app?

Do you mean this lamp? Philips Hue Fair Basis BT this would be a pendant light, the difference to this one is that it is not directly on the ceiling but hangs more in the room. Greetings KingRaven90

Does this small plate in the centre of the lamp really have such small holes or does it only look like that in the photos? I bought the same lamp about 3 years ago but it has no holes in the centre! Could someone who bought the lamp recently help? Thank you

Bought this light after discovering through answers here that it could also be controlled by Bluetooth but app does not find anything when turned on, do I really need to buy hue bridge to access the app? Im really confused.

Yes, this is the BT enabled version. You don't need a bridge. There should be a bluetooth symbol on the retail package of your lamp. If there is no BT symbol you got the wrong product. In the app press the three dots ... there you first have to add the lamp before you can control it.

I know, someone asked before what the difference is to the more expensive version "Philips Hue Fair Basis" (https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s14/product/philips-hue-fair-basis-wandleuchte-deckenleuchte-5923994). The answer that the cheaper one (Philips Hue Fair Basis BT) is equipped with Bluetooth is somehow not plausible... I mean, of course it's true that BT stands for Bluetooth, but it can't be that the cheaper one is equipped with more functionality than the more expensive one, can it? Even more so, as the BT version can apparently also be controlled via a bridge. So what exactly is the difference? Why should I buy the more expensive one when the cheaper one has more functionality (Bluetooth)? Another difference I see is that they have a different energy class: the BT version has A+, the more expensive one has A++. But that's strange again: the cheaper BT A+ version has 33.5W, while the more expensive A++ version has 39W... This is another contradiction for me: why does the lamp with the better energy efficiency have more watts? Surely it should be the other way round? I hope someone can explain to me in a plausible way what the more expensive lamp can do more than the cheaper one, and why the more expensive lamp with a better energy rating still needs more watts.

Hello BT in the title stands for Bluetooth. Can then be operated directly via Bluetooth and does not require a bridge.

The BT version has the EyeComfort function which is not present on the 4034031P7. This is the only difference according to the brand.
