Hardy Felt Ball Rug. A rug made from 100% virgin wool – you could hardly wish for anything cozier and more homely for your cherished home! The Berlin-based company myfelt is fully dedicated to the development and production of these naturally beautiful and durable rugs. Essentially, each rug is based on two things: many New Zealand sheep that are sheared for wool, and the support of a manufacturing facility in Nepal. There, the wool is sorted, washed, dyed, and felted into balls using a patented process. These felt balls then come together – essentially as a wool-felt mosaic – to create a complete wool rug with its own distinctive color patterns: the Hardy Felt Ball Rug as a wooly pebble-like surface. For the largest formats, myfelt hand-sews up to 50,000 felt balls individually, always with strict adherence to fair trade and European occupational safety standards: each felt ball rug carries a "GoodWeave" label as a corresponding certification.
