The Berlin company myfelt is fully dedicated to the development and production of these naturally beautiful and durable rugs. Essentially, each rug is based on two things: many New Zealand sheep that are sheared for wool, and the support of a manufacturing workshop in Nepal. There, the wool is sorted, washed, dyed, and processed into balls using a patented method. These felt balls are then combined to create a complete wool rug, resembling a woolen mosaic, each with its own characteristic color pattern: the Hardy felt ball rug serves as a wooly pebble-like foundation. For the largest sizes, myfelt hand-sews up to 50,000 felt balls individually, always adhering to fair trade and European labor protection standards: each felt ball rug carries a "GoodWeave" label as a corresponding certification.
